Marian Homes, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose sole mission is to
own and maintain group homes in Virginia for persons with intellectual
disability.
They purchased their first home in the Brecon Ridge subdivision of
Fairfax in 1998. The home is currently the residence to five women who
live in a family environment as productive members of their community.
Full time care of the residents is provided by Chimes Virginia, a
well-established provider of services in Virginia.
With the resounding success of their first group home and in recognition
of the overwhelming need of this type of housing in Northern Virginia,
Marian Homes purchased a second home in the Greenbriar subdivision of
Fairfax. This home will be the residence for up to five men some of
whom are expected to move to the residence in August 2010. Chimes
Virginia will again provide the care for the residents.
Marian Homes is administered by a 15 member all-volunteer board of
directors responsible for financial matters, fund-raising and home
maintenance. One-hundred percent of profits raised goes directly to
group home support. There are NO ADMINISTRATIVE costs.
Marian Homes is sponsoring a fund-raising cruise to Bermuda sailing from
Baltimore. Marian Homes Board of Directors invites you to join them on
this pleasurable, 5-day cruise. Pricing starts at only $118 per person
per day. Your support to this worthwhile fund-raising effort will help
Marian Homes immensely in their mission to provide homes for the
intellectually disabled. Come join us on the Enchantment Of The Seas in April 2011. Just use the link below and download the Download Cruise Flyer. Then complete the Group Cruise Registration Form and mail in per the instructions on the form.
