Household Trash & Recycling Agreement

For Civic Associations & Individually billed Residents

Trash will be removed from the curb twice per week. Pick up all trash properly secured in tied, plastic bags, standard trash cans, or AAA 96-gallon, wheeled carts placed at the curb by 6 a.m. Trash bags or containers shall not exceed 50 lbs. per bag or container.  AAA can provide one AAA 96-gallon, wheeled cart per single family home.  Customer acknowledges and understands that disposal and fuel costs as well as compliance with applicable laws and regulations are a substantial part of the cost of the services AAA is providing hereunder and that all are beyond the control of AAA.  Therefore, Customer agrees that AAA shall have the right, at any time, to increase, on a proportional basis.

Recyclables will be picked up once a week and must be separated from normal household trash.  NEWSPAPERS and MAGAZINES must be bundled in paper grocery bags or tied with heavy twine, however using plastic bags are unacceptable.  GLASS, PLASTIC #1 & #2, ALUMINUM, and FERROUS METAL FOOD CANS should be rinsed out and placed in separate bags, cardboard boxes or AAA recycling bins.   Containers should be secure so they will not blow away.    AAA will provide one recycling bin per unit.  All recyclables must be at the curb by 6 a.m.

Brush should be cut in four foot lengths with limbs no larger than six inches in diameter.  Brush should be tied in bundles no larger than two feet in diameter and placed at the curb.  A handling charge will be assessed to any individual homeowner who places more than five bundles of brush on the curb for any single pickup.  Place yard debris and brush at the curb on the designated collection day for yard debris.  Place yard debris and brush in separate containers or biodegradable “clear” bags.  The weight limit for yard debris is 35 lbs. or less per bag or container (limited to up to 6 bags per visit).  Yard debris will be picked up April 1 through the December 31.  Any untied brush must be scheduled prior to removal and will be charged a service fee for collection.

All furniture and other large, non-metal household (referred to as “Bulk”) items must be placed at the curb.  “Bulk” and Ferrous metal items (referred to as “White Goods”), such as appliances, will be picked up with additional billing to the individual homeowner.  Prior scheduling is required for “Bulk” items and Appliances (white goods).  White Goods can be charged to the Association or the individual resident.  “Bulk “ items if properly scheduled, will be removed on the second collection day of the week.  All appliances containing Freon must be certified FREON-FREE prior to removal.
